Oil & Pastel Pochade Boxes
for landscape painting
All of our plein air landscape painting pochade boxes are handcrafted on location in our fine woodworking studio by Mike Taylor. They are constructed of solid oak faced with finish birch outdoor plywood and outdoor finishes including UV protection. If we do not have what you want in stock, it could take up to six weeks for delivery. If the shopping cart says there are none available, you may order anyway and we will contact you about the length of your wait, or call us first before placing an order online.

We want you to enjoy your landscape painting experience, so we want your box to be perfect when we send it to you.

ArtAttack1
We took the best features of the palette box, pochade box and French easel and put them all together to make this lightweight oil painting system. As with all boxes handcrafted in our woodworking studio, the Art-Attack1 is made of solid oak and faced with lightweight finish birch outdoor plywood. The Art ArtAttck1 is fashioned after Peggy’s Palette Box, where you lay the paint on the side and mix in the center section. But, this box has a storage area too. The box comes with three pieces of removable plexiglas for easy cleaning.

Pochade ArtAttack2
We took the design of the age-old pochade box and made it a box for today. We added an adjustable panel holder so you can raise your work up to a higher level. Our Box is a 9”x12” box, but we have also added a feature to make the two-slot panel storage area adjustable for holding panels from 9”x12” down to 5”x7”.Our Pochade Art Attack2 can be attached to a quick release and tripod, or used in your lap in the car on a cold winter day. The box features a storage area under the palette with two removable dividers, a paper towel holder, turp can holder, and a brush holder. We custom make left-handed boxes for the same price. This takes three to six weeks for delivery.

This compact pastel box is designed for maximum portability and attaches to a quick release tripod. Features included a panel holder for small to medium-size boards, a dust catcher, and installed foam and dividers. Designed for standard size pastels, half of the storage space can be increased another 1/4” for thicker pastels. This box will hold approximately 250 half sticks of pastel, yet it is compact enough when closed to fit in a back pack.

This nifty little easel is just for those days when it is raining or cold out and you don't want to get out in the elements. The 9x12 inch easel fastens to your steering wheel with two large folding hooks. The bottom portion is your palette and it is all designed to be closed up with your wet painting and paint just in case you need to take off in a hurry. This is a special order item only. We do not keep it in stock so once you place your order it will take about three weeks to make one for you.

Lois Griffel of Cape Cod School of Art fame, author of "Painting the Impressionist Landscape", workshop instructor and my teacher owns one of our ArtAttack2 boxes.
Bob Rohm who teaches plein air landscape painting workshops all over the country taught more workshops at Willow Wisp Farm Studios than any other instructor and he owns our ArtAttack2 and our ArtAttack3.
Suzanne Karnatz came up with a design for a plein air pastel box. We took that design, reworked it and turned it into the "Karnatz ArtAttack3", our best selling box of all time. Suzanne is a master pastelist and workshop instructor.
Michael Del Priore, famed portrait painter and workshop instructor is a closet plein air landscape painter who owns one of our Art Attack2 oil painting boxes.
